Program Requirements

We are looking for people who are flexible, hard-working, and creative. The ability to communicate effectively is a must, and you must possess excellent spoken and written English skills. Besides this we require:

  • That you intend to begin College or University soon, are currently a College or University student, or have recently graduated from College or University.

  • That you are in good health.

  • That you have a valid passport.

Those with a TEFL/TESOL certificate, a university degree, or with previous teaching experience will be given top priority.

Application and Interview

If you meet all program requirements then please send your CV or resume, including at least three references, to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it  We will contact you within three business days to set up a basic interview. After the first interview we may ask for a copy of your passport (personal details and photo page) or copies of any applicable certificates, degrees, or diplomas.

If we are satisfied with the first interview we may set up a second, more detailed interview. We will let you know if you have been accepted within five business days of a second interview, and if so we will begin working on the visa process.

Visa Process

Once we have accepted you, please contact your nearest Chinese Embassy or Consulate for the Visa Application Form and processing fee. Make sure to bring (or send, if you are using an agency) the following with your visa application:

  1. Completed visa application form

  2. Passport. Must be valid with at least six months left before expiry

  3. 2 passport sized photos (2” by 2”)

  4. A copy of the letter of invitation and confirmation form which were provided by Langston Language

  5. Visa fees.

Interns who are still in College or University, or have graduated in the last two years will apply for a 90 day L-class tourist visa that will then be changed into an F-class (short term study/business/ internship visa) after arriving in China. Interns who have graduated from College or University for two years or longer will need to apply for an Z class visa (long-term work visa), a longer and more complicated process.

Insurance

All interns must have travel medical insurance. It is your responsibility to apply and receive medical insurance for the term of the program. Each person will have different costs dependent upon health and options chosen.

Arrival in China

Please send us an email to let us know your flight details: date, time of arrival, airline, flight number, and place of departure, so that we can arrange your airport reception. Please forward this information no later than 10 days before your arrival. None of our programs include airfare.
